Learning about Literature with Short Stories (7th grade and up) It can be difficult to practice our literary analysis skills on long novels when there is only so much time to read! But short story authors use the same techniques and are part of the same “great conversation.”
In this class, we’ll use a series of short stories to examine themes, plot, characters and a few of the literary devices authors use.
Reading will be assigned as homework and the students may be asked to highlight, make notes, or journal responses in preparation for class.A copy of the stories being used in this class can be obtained prior to sign up for parents who wish to preview the selections. Please email Laina@TriangleHomeschoolResources.com for the list.
