Unleash your creativity this summer at our Pottery camp! We will start the week learning about the composition of clay, with campers working on hand building their own designs. Throughout the week, we will learn about clay building techniques, from scoring to properly hydrating your work. Campers will have the opportunity to learn how to throw pottery on the wheel as well! Campers will learn about kiln firing, discovering the structural differences in greenware and bisqueware. Pottery camp further explores the fascinating science behind clay through our underglaze and glazing processes, showing the chemistry of glass and the processes that transform clay into functional art. Perfect for artists of all skill levels, this camp is a week of creativity, discovery, and fun through projects like ceramic tiles, leaf imprint bowls, North Carolina face jugs, lanterns, or anything you can think of!

Program Hours 8:30am-4:30pm M-F
Drop-off is from 8:00-8:30am and pickup is from 4:30-5:00pm
We can provide early care before 8:00am and late pickup between 5:00-6:00pm for an extra fee.
