Are you looking for an extraordinary weekend activity that inspires creativity, innovation, and lifelong skills in students from elementary to high school? Our STEM Makerspace Weekend is designed to ignite curiosity and foster collaboration among young makers of all ages. Each session offers a dynamic, supervised environment where students can explore hands-on projects in fiber arts, pottery, calligraphy, stained glass (for older students), and cooking, all infused with STEM principles and real-world applications.
Participants will not only master practical techniques but also uncover the science, history, and famous innovators behind each craft. Through engaging “how-it’s-made” demonstrations and makerspace challenges, students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork—skills that will serve them well into adulthood.
The program encourages students to share their talents, learn new skills, and build lasting friendships with other creative minds. Inspired by the spirit of “yarn circles” and “craft and chat” clubs, our makerspace is a vibrant community where feedback, inspiration, and peer support help everyone overcome challenges and achieve their best work.
Families with makerspace memberships are welcome to join the creative atmosphere, working on their own projects while students collaborate and learn. Bring your works-in-progress, enjoy camaraderie, and be part of a weekend tradition that celebrates innovation, creativity, and STEM learning for all ages.
