


Beginner Stained Glass Class at Smile Camp
Learn how to make stained glass projects come to life!
Projects:
New: “Birds of a Feather” Stained glass Workshop
“Creatures of the Sea” Stained glass Workshop
Choose from a starfish, sand dollar, fish or turtle
Students will have a variety of colors of sheet glass to choose from and provide inspiration. We will be using the copper foil method. Students will learn how to cut and grind glass. Soldering will be taught in order to assemble the stained glass projects. You will learn how to solder handmade hooks to hang your sun catcher in any window in your home or give away as a gift
Instructor: George-Ann F. Greth has been a glass artist for 36 years. Her education began in Poconos Pennsylvania then Penland, North Carolina. She has two BFA degrees from Temple University, one in metals, the other in ceramics and glass, along with a minor in art history.
There will be a new project added each month.
Time: Wednesdays from 6 - 8:30. The studio winds down at 9pm.
Each registration includes:
Two 3 hour sessions of instruction and assistance.
3 hours of studio time.
All tools, safety equipment, and materials are provided.
Future projects will be lighthouses, birds, and animals.
Closed toed shoes are required.
The cost of the workshop is $180 which includes Instruction, materials, equipment and studio time.
The dates for the “Birds of a Feather!” session are July 5th, 12th, and 19th.
