This is a one-of-a-kind camp diving into the science and art of glass. Campers will learn about the composition of glass, from the metal oxides that give it its color to the transition temperatures that change its molecular structure.
Campers will make a variety of stained glass projects, choosing or creating their own designs and working in our stained glass studio to pick out glass, learn how to use cutting tools, and break the glass into shape. Through hands-on work, campers will learn the process of grinding the glass into precise shape and how to coat and solder the parts of their final work together.
In addition to stained glass projects, campers will get to learn about kiln firing and glass slumping, combining layers of glass together into a complete, 3D project throughout the week.
By the end of the week, campers will have learned all about glass, the principles of art and design, and will get to take home their stunning glass creations, showcasing their newfound skills.

Program Hours 8:30am-4:30pm M-F
Drop-off is from 8:00-8:30am and pickup is from 4:30-5:00pm
We can provide early care before 8:00am and late pickup between 5:00-6:00pm for an extra fee.
