Come learn and explore many fields of science and art (STEM and STEAM with creativity) through hands on experiments. Campers explore a wide variety of subjects including physics, chemistry, biology, art, nature and numerous engineering fields through hands on experimentation. Some examples include: growing metallic crystals, electromagnetism, redox reactions, metal casting, working glass, making ceramics, thermite reactions, robotics, coding, and exploring. Also learn, design and print in 3D! Campers will walk away with the know-how to take their academic knowledge and merge with the real world, and take fun science to the next level and put them ahead in school!
The program changes each week and is tailored to participant interests. We create the activity plan for the week each Monday morning after we get to know the participants and survey their interests and curiosities. We have have hundreds of experiments at our disposal as well as a makerspace which we use to choreograph the week.
Our makerspace has six 3D printers, a 150 watt laser cutter with 36" x 48" cut area, plastic vacuum forming and metal bending, cutting and welding equipment. On the art side we have molds for casting ceramics, multiple kilns, multiple sewing machines, five pottery wheels, an art space and more
