Beginner Glass Class at Smile Camp
Learn how to make stained and slumped glass projects come to life!
Students will have a wide selection of vibrant sheet glass to spark their creativity and inspire their designs. Using the copper foil method, they will learn essential skills like cutting and grinding glass. We will also teach soldering techniques to assemble their stained glass pieces, including how to attach handmade hooks, so they can proudly hang their custom sun catcher in any window or gift it to someone special.
Once students have mastered the fundamental techniques of cutting and shaping glass, they’ll be ready to dive into slumped glass projects. These pieces will be heated and molded into unique, three-dimensional designs. Our instructors will guide them through the entire process, from preparing molds to firing their creations in the kiln. By the end of the project, students will have a stunning and functional glass artwork—perfect for showcasing at home or gifting to someone special.
